Macarons Class, Baroque

The moment I knew that Baroque will have the Macarons master class on Sunday, I was quietly screaming with myself and forwarded an information to Kimmy and Heidi immediately. We booked for the 27th July class.

We entered into the bistro and were invited to sit at the table. One lady was sitting in front of me and looked so familiar, Oh dear, Lorraine ! I started the class with a beautiful cappuccino.

Jean-Michel Raynaud and Puti, our teachers.

The display of pastries....

Amazingly beautiful cakes, I definitely come back to try.

At first, we were taught how to make chocolate ganache and caramel for the filling. Then chef taught us how to make the macarons shells.

The chocolate macaron shells

Piping the shells

Happy time always goes fast, I felt like a few mins then it was a break time. We ordered our lunch from the menu.

Croque Monsieur, Croque Provencale and Croque Madame

When we came back to the kitchen, we were starting making our own macarons.

The caramel before and after whipped.

1 box of macarons to take home... Hooray !

Our class :)

I was enjoyed and impressed the course very much, worth money !

Happy, happy and happy !

ice : $220 for a course ka

Amy : I had never like macarons before I tried the one from here and Zumbo.. but I prefer Baroque's texture, super nice.

panda : yeah, very fun.. we made the salted caramel and chocolate flavour.. if u do other flavour, can we swap the recipe? :P

Monica : go go, I am so glad I took the class

Simon : I love the salted caramel but haven't tried the rosewater yet.. if u like it, I will try soon.. It is pricey for $2.50 a piece but the quality is the one you are willing to pay for
