Ganache Chocolate Lounge

After we came out from Noisette, the eating day had not finished yet.. We decided to go to Ganache Chocolate in South Yarrah. Chef Karen (chef from LCB) told us that this shop is owned by her friend.

It is at the corner of Toorak and Chapel St.

A dazzling array of cakes.

Showcasing the fine European-style chocolate handmade.

We were a bit surprised that most of customers were asian at that time.

We took a small lovely table.

My friend had hot tea (forgot what tea?)

There's also an extensive list of decadent beverages on offer, such as designer hot chocolates flavoured with Mexican chilli, winter spices, hazelnut, and orange cointreau as well as chocolate-infused coffees.. However, I went for the original one $6.00

Black forest slice $6.90

Very average cake.. maybe we were too full from Noisette.

The hot chocolate here is not my cup of tea, I found it has some aftertaste but my friend like it though.

Happy happy happy !

Noisette Boulangerie Patisserie

One of the hi light meal in Melbourne is Noisette. I saw this lovely patisserie in my delicious blog and tell myself I have to go there if I go to Melbourne. Lucky enough that my friend also wanna go there, so we took the tram 109 from Melbourne Town Hall to Port Melbourne which took about 15-20 minutes to get there.

It is the modern cafe with the yellow and brown decoration owned by Breton David Menard who was a head baker at Laurent Patisserie many years before establishing Noîsette

First my foot was inside there, so happy already.

We were there quite early..around almost 10 am.

Lots of pastries and croissants.

I want all ><

Lovely cakes

Sandwiches

After order and pay at the counter, sit here

my friend, Nut,'s Bowl of Café au lait.. After I saw this, I want ! so nice and I really like the bowl..haha

My skinny cappucino, looks normal but nice!

Card (another friend)'s machiato

Nut ordered Pear&Chocolate mosse cake. quite decent.

She alos ordered chocolate Éclair. Beautiful shape but a bit too sweet for my liking.

Card and I decided to order and share.. we chose the chicken sandwich. The bread was soft and chewy, chicken and mayonnaise was tasty with a tad of oilyness.

Pain au chocolate. flaky, crispy outside and moist inside.

Card with happy face.

Ja with happier face.

Card and Nut.

Nut and Ja

I also bought back the escargot (pain au raisins), a chocolate chip brioche and 2 of Pain au chocolat for Deryk and Henrik

Such a nice meal !

D.O.C. Pizza and Mozarella Bar

This post when I was still in Melbourne. Tonight we had a girl dinner at D.O.C.

We booked for 9 people at 7 pm. but when we arrived, the wait staff said they forgot about booking but its not a problem, wouldn't be long -_-''

The menu is on the paper which I think its a good idea. I like the way they present the Italy map on the menu.

2 cool bottles of water.

Degustazione de 3 Mozzarelle: a tasting plate of 3 mozzarellas, Australian Fior Di Latte, D.O.P. Italian Buffalo Mozzarella and Australian Scamorza (lightly smoked Fior Di Latte) $32

If I am not mistaken, the top right side is the D.O.P which is very soft and rich. Another white one at the bottom is the Ausralian Fior Di Latte which is very milky, taste milder than the first one. The smoky one is a bit crisp outside and saltier than the rest in a good way.. At first bite, taste was too plain but the more you kept eating it, the tasteir it is.

Pizza Tiger Prawns c/tomato, mozzarella, endive, fresh chilli $22.5

Foccacia c/ San Daniele prosciutto, hand torn Buffalo Mozzarella, rocket and cherry tomato $22.50

Pizza ai Porcini c/wild mushrooms, truffle oil & mozzarela in bianco $22.50

Pizza c/ Asiago Cheese, shaped pancetta and sangovese caramelised red chicory $24.50

Pizza Capricciosa Nuova c/tomato, mozzarella, leg ham, mushroom, artichoke & olive $18.50

Nong Lyn, first time I met her in real person, too bad we sat far away, not much conversation :)

I was a bit disappointed for the pizza, they all were just standard. Maybe I expected too much cuz my friend told me that it is very good place. or maybe we were unlucky that night lol

Coppa gelato (full import) - mixed gelati $9.50

The gelati brought back the happiness, it was very good and refreshing.

Sweet goat s cheese, tiramisu c/pavesini & montenegro $9.50

First time I tried goat cheese tiramisu, it was very very creamy. Nice ! (too little alcohol ..haha)

Sweet pizza c/ Belgian white chocolate & fresh strawberries & Vanilla bean ice cream $9.50

This one was the hi light of the meal for me. Just right !

Nong F & me with pizza.

We were pretty full actually, lots of starch.. but I was still crazy asking Nut to eat another gelato
