Crystal Jade, Siam Paragon

Wanted to try this restaurant since I was in Sydney. Crystal Jade Golden Palace has a few branches and they serve food in different style.

This place is located in G floor, Siam Paragon.

Peipei's favourite, everytime going to Chinese restaurant, we have to order this for her (of course non-spicy). she is a very unusual girl, always like eating adult things.

Not bad but not great, I found it was a bit mild in flavour but Peipei like it again

Braised seafood and scallop thick soup ฿160

Very good and tasty, full of seafood. They put crab roe in the soup make it so rich.

Sichuan hot & sour soup ฿130

Nice aswell, a little bit hot and sour just like its name.

Cold Beancurd & Century Egg ฿150

I love this cold dish, Tofu was smooth as it should be. Perfect egg, the yolk was a dark green, cream-like substance while the white becomes a dark brown, transparent jelly with little flavor or taste.

Braised vegetable with crab roe ฿300

Beautiful! Veggie was soft and fresh, the topping was light yet tasty.

Roasted duck ฿220

One of the best roasted duck I had. The skin was so crispy, the meat was juicy and succulent.

Singapore fried rice vermicelli ฿200

We were quite disappointed for this dish, pretty normal. Maybe I don't really like cumin flavour in the noodle dish.

Fried rice with shrimp, mushroom, pork and vegetable ฿220

It looks so plain but after we tasted...sublime!!! The rice was perfectly fried and seasoned just beautiful.

I will definitely order it again for next time.

Braised pork rib with spicy sauce ฿260

Nothing excited about this dish, the pork was not tender enough.

Pan fried sweet red dates ฿200

It was ok but not so great, I had the better one. This was a bit too oily and not so crispy as I like.
