Ichi-ban Boshi & Guylian Chocolate Cafe

I am not a big fan of Ramen but when you know that there is a ramen shop with a good reputation, of couse Foodie Ja is not hesitate to try :D

Ichi-Ban Boshi names themself as the Best ramen in Australia!

The canteen-like atmosphere makes me feel quite comfortable to dine there alone.

Table 10 !

Aburi Chashu Ramen $12.00

Thick, juicy slices of tender marinated pork are grilled under a hot flame and placed on the just-right cooked ramen. the broth was well flavoured and taste not too salty for me.

How big of the bowl compared with a glass of water !

I really like the seaweed and spring onion in the bowl...so freshy. The pork was good even not as tender as fall apart, but still good enough. The ramen was al dente (but the portion was so huge..of course I couldn't finish)

After meal, I felt like having something sweet. Ok, let's walk to try hot mocha at Guylian Chocolate Cafe...really want to know how good it is. Then I walked there, when looked at the menu...ummm..They don't really have hot mocha. I ordered this one which seems similar as mocha the most.

Guylian coffee special $8.00 : Guylian house coffee with special chocolate with whipped cream.

Actaully there is another menu sounds similar...coffee with chocolate, I asked the waitress how they are different. She said nicely that she had no idea about it ^ ^'' (she is cute anyway.)

As its price $8.00 I expected that it will be really special but it was very small cup of coffee topped with a beautiful whipped cream and chocolate bits. I think they piped the whipped cream and chilled in the fridge first cuz it is harder than normal whipped cream.

So funny, after I pushed the cream, lots of air bubble came from underneath...Very amazing ! hahaha... It tasted not bad, but very standard taste like $3.00-mocha. Not so strong in coffee taste, no rich in chocolate taste. If I have this coffee in the normal cafe, I will enjoy it. But here for $8.00 ($8.80 plus service charge), I think it is not worth for money.

Wanna try affogato also, but expensive T_T

The christmas tree in QVB, I love chirstmas time !

I'm a big fan of Ichi-ban Boshi. I like the Karaage Cheese Curry, but I like the one at Bondi Jct better. I heard they've moved the shop but it's still in the same vicinity. I can't wait to see their new shop.

I also love the new Wonton ramen. Damn good stuff. Have you reviewed Ryotei Ramen on Falcon St yet? Thats damn good too. It always seems to be closed when I get my craving though.
